The most common way is to become an affiliate or reseller of someone else's products or services. Amazon is the classic example being one of the first affiliate programs on the net.

Basically an affiliate program involves placing a link on your site which includes your unique affiliate ID and links to the product or service you are an affiliate for. Affiliates sometimes get paid if they refer new affiliates aswell

The affiliate can get paid in a variety of ways, % per sale, per impression or per click.
